Première Bulle de Limoux

€800.00

Once there was a monk who stopped on his way to the pilgrimage site of Santiago de Compostella in Limoux. There he drank a sparkling wine from France that he liked so much that he took the recipe home with him. This monk's name was Dom Perignon and he came from the Champagne region. Eh oui, mesdames et messieurs, so the very first bubbly wine did not come from Champagne, but from Limoux.

This Première Bulle is elegant, light and has a beautiful, refined mousse. The editor of the trade magazine Saisonnier even calls it "the most beautiful bubble on earth, better than many more expensive champagnes." And he's absolutely right, of course. Fresh fruit, white blossom and the buttery brioche in the finish makes this wine a pleasure to drink. With the aperitif, at brunch, ah what do I say: any time of day. I remain a Frenchman.
